Black Friday and Cyber Monday are hailed as the chief shopping holidays of November, but Veterans Day surprises with its share of noteworthy sales.

The oft-overlooked holiday may not bring long lines or frenzied crowds to shopping malls, but it does come with solid deals on apparel, home goods and seasonal merchandise.
